Event photography is not just about documenting what happened. It's about marketing what happens next. One event, shot right, gives you months of marketing content.

Why I Shoot Events

Energy, People, & Moments.

I love shooting events. I love meeting new people, being part of the energy, capturing moments, working the flash, and seeing people smile. From candids to posed group shots, there are endless opportunities to get interesting images when you're covering a live event.

The people who didn't attend will see your photos and feel that unmistakable FOMO. Your website will look sharp, your social media will pop, and everyone in those photos will look like they had the time of their lives.

Storyfest Louisville

Storyfest Louisville is HOPE IN ACTION. Created by The Tommy Elliott Fund, a registered 501(c)(3), this entity was formed after a mass shooting in Louisville on April 10, 2023. This tragedy was a pivotal moment for the community, and something which was close to my heart. I was actually on Main St., a block away from the shooting, and it affected me deeply. When Storyfest reached out for photography coverage of their second storytelling event, I knew I had to be a part of it and donated my time to the cause.

What I Shoot
01
Festivals
Beer fests, music events, food festivals, community celebrations. I know how to capture the energy of a crowd and the small moments that tell the real story.
02
Corporate Events
Company parties, award ceremonies, product launches, and milestone events. The handshakes, the keynotes, the candids, and the details.
03
Conferences
Keynote speakers, breakout sessions, networking moments, sponsor activations, and expo floors. Whether it's the KICC or a hotel ballroom.
04
Galas & Fundraisers
Black-tie events, charity galas, and fundraising dinners. I capture the elegance, the energy, and the people who make these events happen.

My Approach

Images You Can Actually Use.

I shoot events with one goal: give you images you can actually use. Not just a folder of 500 photos that sit on a hard drive. I'm thinking about your website, your social media, your next event's marketing materials, and your brand story while I'm shooting.

That means a mix of wide shots that show the scale and energy, tight candids that show real emotion, detail shots of the setup and production, and clean group shots when you need them.

I work in any lighting condition. Ballrooms, outdoor festivals, convention floors. I bring my own lighting when needed and I adapt fast.

The Experience
What You Get
01
Before the Event
We talk through your event schedule, the key moments you need captured, any VIPs or speakers to watch for, and the shots that matter most to your team. I come prepared.
02
During the Event
I show up on time, I stay for the duration we agreed on, and I work the entire room. I'm not standing in a corner waiting for something to happen. I'm moving, anticipating moments, and making sure nothing gets missed.
03
After the Event
I deliver a curated gallery of edited images. Every photo is color-corrected, retouched where needed, and delivered in high-res and web-ready formats. Turnaround time is discussed at booking.
FAQ
How far in advance should I book event photography?

As early as possible. For large events, conferences, and festivals, I recommend reaching out at least 4 to 6 weeks ahead. For smaller events, 2 weeks is usually fine, but the sooner you lock it in, the better.

How long will you be at my event?

That depends on the event. Some need 2 hours of coverage, others need a full day. We discuss the schedule beforehand so you get exactly the coverage you need.

Do you bring your own lighting?

Yes. I carry professional lighting gear and use it whenever the venue needs it. Convention floors, ballrooms, outdoor evening events — I'm equipped for all of it.

How many photos will I receive?

It depends on the length and scale of the event. A 2-hour corporate event might deliver 100 to 200 images. A full-day festival could be 500 or more. Every image is edited and ready to use.

Can I use the photos for marketing and social media?

Yes. You receive full usage rights for all delivered images. Use them on your website, social media, printed materials, and future event promotions.

Do you shoot video at events?

My focus is photography. If you need video, I can recommend trusted videographers in Louisville who I've worked alongside at events.

What does event photography cost?

Pricing depends on the type of event, duration, and deliverables. Reach out through the contact form for a quote tailored to your event.

Where do you cover events?

I cover events throughout Louisville, KY, Southern Indiana (Jeffersonville, New Albany, Clarksville), Lexington, KY, and surrounding areas within about 60 miles.
